A school map that according to the unions does not take into account the specificities of each area. “For us it is not satisfactory at all”explains Gilles Tabourdeau, department secretary of the SNUipp-FSU of Vienne, who voted against? the school card. “We are in an accounting logic, we regret that the inclusive school system, with children in school integration, does not benefit from more resources. We cannot say that inclusive school has become everyday life to justify the return to 28 pupils per class. “

For his part, the Dasen replies that the school card is now balanced“Unions may not be completely satisfied, but they succeeded in a number of demands”says Fabrice Barthélémy, Academic Director of the National Education Services. “We have transferred resources to deal with the situation in Châtellerault or Poitiers, geographical sectors that I have been warned about. We will come back to this in September to see what adjustments still need to be made.”

Large Sections Sent to CP

Among the new cancellations decided yesterday, that of the class of the large kindergarten of the school of Antoigné, in Châtellerault, is cancelled. Some parents of students launched a petition to oppose it and made the trip to the Rectorate of Poitiers on Thursday to ask to be received. “We are very anxious and stressed”, testifies Alice, a mother. If this class is indeed suppressed, the students will largely steered on a dual level with the CPs, at the adjacent primary school.

Our children are numbers. – Parents of pupils of the Antoigné school, in Châtellerault

“In kindergarten you have to go through the game to understand each concept. While in CP we will ask them to work non-stop, to sit in a chair without moving and without talking, so as not to disturb the adults”assures Cécilia, another student mother. “For the most part, when they finish an activity, they can go to the back of the classroom to play. There are still games, tea parties… There, it won’t even be possible!”

lack of students

The Rectorate of Poitiers points above all to the number of pupils at the school of Antoigné: about fifty registered for next year not enough to maintain the current number of classes. But the parents are not convinced. “Children Are Numbers”they say. “Figures where we walk around. They would rather see the financial side than be interested in raising children.” The rectorate, for its part, ensures that both parents and children will be accompaniedand that the double-layer large section CP is already working in other schools.

The end of the lesson is officially recorded on June 21during the Departmental Council for National Education.
