Ready to see the best padel players compete in a Roland-Garros stadium like you’ve never seen it before? We give you an appointment from 11 to 17 July to attend this exceptional event that will bring together the best players in the world. Show on the slopes, friendly atmosphere outside the slopes, find the spirit of padel through entertainment at the foot of the Philippe-Chatrier court. Licensees will benefit from a presale from 24 to 26 May with a price between €20 and €50 for the best seats on the Philippe-Chatrier track. The general public counter will open on 27 May. On Sunday July 10th, the qualifiers will be accessible for a one-time price of €10!

At the general meeting of the FFT on April 2, the license reform was passed with 81.32% of the vote. One of the axes of this reform is the creation of a padel license. It is offered at a price of 20 euros and the clubs keep a financial share of 2 euros for each of the padel licenses issued. Good news for the padel community!

The number of national federations are part of the International Padel Federation (FIP). At its annual general meeting, attended by Eric Largeron and Arnaud Di Pasquale for France, the FIP also announced the upcoming membership of 19 other national federations. We are witnessing a real international expansion!

Mas P2000: the winners
The second edition of the P2000 took place from May 13 to 15 at the Mas club in Perpignan. A large audience, exciting competitions and unprecedented winners!
In the women’s competition, Mélissa MARTIN and Amélie DETRIVIERE won after a game of 2h30! Yann AURADOU and Manuel VIVES also won the men’s title.

P500 Youth: a first in Perpignan!
The Padel mission and the Mas club have proposed the first youth P500 in history, along with the P2000. Among the girls, Julie FERRARA (PCA) and Thaïs BAULARD PANICHI (PCA) won the first edition of the P500 and among the boys, Timéo FONTENY (PCA) and Yoan BORONAD (OCC) were victorious.

National rally U14
A first national meeting brought together 21 youngsters (14 boys and 7 girls) at the Central Padel Club in Perpignan. They were selected by the category managers of Mission Padel (Alexia DECHAUME, Christian COLLANGE, Yann AURADOU and Marianne VANDAELE) and in collaboration with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Hauts de France, Ile de France, Normandy, Occitanie Leagues. , Pays de la Loire, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Reunion.

Come play padel at Roland-Garros
The FFT has decided to relaunch its padel court during the Roland-Garros tournament. The public will have the opportunity to discover this course on track N°5 from June 1 to 5, 2022. Many activities will be planned and the opportunity to come and play: rackets and balls available and supervised by qualified teachers.

A padel major in Italy
In the continuity of its development, the Premier Padel circuit has announced the organization of the ” Italy Premier Padel Major This major will take place from 21 to 29 May 2022 at the Foro Italico in Rome with a record prize pool. This major will precede the one hosted by the FFT at the Roland-Garros stadium from 11 to 17 July 2022, whose opening of the counter is scheduled for the week of May 23.

French Championships Seniors 2022
After approval by the National Padel Council, French Championships for seniors 2022 will take place from 21 to 23 October 2022 (location to be confirmed). Originally scheduled for these dates, the National 1 French Interclub Championships have been rescheduled for December 9, 10 and 11 and will take place at the Padel Club of Toulouse. New dates to block in your calendar!

Evolution minimum tournament thresholds
Faced with the success of padel tournaments and in view of offering more and more quality events, the National Padel Council has voted to increase the minimum thresholds for the number of pairs in all tournaments, only for men’s events. For example, a P250 must have at least 12 pairs. This change will take effect on July 1, 2022.

Benny The Shoes Challenge
Friday, April 22 was held at the Pontivy League Center on Challenge Benny The Shoes† This multi-practice and multi-public day was an opportunity to host an approved tennis and padel competition. A nice complementarity of practices and a nice tribute to one of the interns of the DEJEPS Training Center who passed away in March 2022.

Discovery operation
The Ligue Bourgogne Franche-Comté de tennis, the FFT and the Spoon Center of Thise will benefit from the “Ladies Golden Spoon”, a P1000 tournament, to an introduction to padel for women of all ages, with or without a permit, on Friday evening 20 May. An opportunity to discover the practice and interact with the best French padel players.

Monitoring the 500 tracks convention
During a webinar on May 5 between the ANS, the FFT, the Regional League Development Managers and the DRAJES referees, it was recalled that a priority assessment of padel stocks would be carried out under the agreement between the ANS and the FFT. In addition, the geographical eligibility criteria and the conditions for free and open access have been harmonised.

Training of trainers in TFP
The next train-the-trainer session will take place on 6, 7 and 8 July 2022 in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Tennis League.

New Aquitaine
The Training Center organized its first three training sessions at the DFMP during the April holidays at the My PADEL facilities of BREDE 33, TC PAU 64 and 4PADEL LIMOGES 87. A total of 29 trainees benefited from these trainings. Upcoming DMFP training in June before the TFP launch in January 2023.

The League will be offering soon a DFMP session from 20 to 24 June 2022 and a new TFP session from September 19, 2022 to April 11, 2023. If you are interested, registration files are open for both sessions.

The League has provided 2 days of training for future DE’s as part of the DEJEPS Training Center in Pontivy. The 10 students have been able to see the rise of Padel in France and more specifically in Brittany. After this intervention, 3 of them signed up for DFMP 2022 training organized in May and June.

Franck Binisti discovered padel at the Club des Pyramides in 2009 in the Paris region. Since then, padel has been part of his life. You often see him touring France beating major French pade events.
