On Friday 20 May, the Ministry of National Education, Kindergarten and Sports sent a circular to the directors of the Regional Academies for Education and Training (AREF), to the pedagogical inspectors and to the directors of the various institutions about the dates and times of the ongoing and final exams for the current school year.
The Ministry of Education, Kindergarten and Sports has officially announced the dates and times of the ongoing and final exams for this school year. Compared to the dates communicated last September in response to the postponement of the start of the school year to October 1, there are some minor changes in this new calendar.
According to the circular, the permanent exams are to take place in a regular and normal manner between June 27 and July 2 for primary, secondary and communal tribes cycles.
For school-going candidates, the standardized exam for obtaining the certificate of primary education will take place on 5 July. As for independent candidates, the exams will take place on July 6 and 7, respectively for candidates under 18 and for persons over 18. Classes will also continue until July 4, with a preparation period from June 28 to July 4 for candidates taking the standardized take an examination.

The high school cycle
For the HBO cycle, the standardized regional exam will take place on 4 and 5 July for both self-employed and skilled candidates. Classes will continue until July 2, with a preparation period between June 28 and July 2 for normalized candidates. Class and orientation councils will take place after Aid Al Adha.
The Qualifying Secondary Cycle
As for the qualifying secondary cycle, the final permanent exams for the first and second year of the baccalaureate must take place between May 30 and June 4. The period between 6 and 11 June is dominated by the collective preparation for the regional exam and the national Baccalaureate exam. The period between 2 and 6 June is devoted to preparing for the re-sits of the aforementioned exams.
The schedule of the state examination for obtaining the baccalaureate is as follows:
-From 20 to 22 June: for all scientific streams, economics and management streams, science and technology, applied arts and all MBO streams.
– June 23 and 24: literary courses (literature and humanities), traditional education (sharia and Arabic language).
June 23: Life and Earth Sciences, Agricultural Management Sector.
The deliberation will take place on June 29, the results will be announced on July 1.
The catch-up session will take place on 15, 16, 18 and 19 July for all sectors. Deliberations will take place on 21 July and the results will be announced on 22 July.
the regional exam
With regard to the regional exam, which will take place on 15 and 16 June for the science, technology, economics, applied arts and HBO sectors. And on June 18 and 19 for the literary and traditional sectors. The catch-up session will take place on July 13 and 14 for all sectors. It should be noted that, unlike the previous two years, the baccalaureate exams will take place in a context of the downturn of the pandemic. For example, the Ministry of Supervision has decided to relax the health protocol: it has chosen to group 20 students per class, taking into account the distance requirements.
